Director of Participation, Progression and Change

Rachel Brennan is our Director of Participation, Progression and Change. She joined Groundswell in 2019 and has extensive experience working in homelessness, including managing the homeless health service in Manchester. In addition to supporting the development and delivery of participation and progression within Groundswell, Rachel also leads on our national work with partners, creating opportunities for involving people with experience of homelessness in developing and delivering solutions to homelessness. During her time with Groundswell she has led on the #HealthNow project and the VCSE Health and Wellbeing Alliance. Rachel is passionate about reducing health inequalities for people experiencing homelessness and in 2017 was awarded a Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Fellowship to research homeless healthcare in Norway, Denmark and The USA.
