Salary: £23,500 – 25,000

Job Purpose: To work alongside the London Homeless Health Peer Advocacy team to deliver high quality health advocacy to Eastern European people experiencing homelessness.

Groundswell is seeking a worker fluent in at least one Eastern European language with experience of homelessness or other forms of social exclusion. This is an opportunity to be part of a thriving, multi-award winning project working to ensure the health needs of vulnerable homeless patients are being met. You will be playing a crucial role in a growing and dynamic charity which is committed to developing inclusive solutions to tackling homelessness.

The Eastern European Caseworker will work with Eastern European people who are homeless and struggling to access health services supporting them to access appropriate healthcare and work towards managing their own health. This is an exciting opportunity to feed into how homeless and health services in across London can work together in a more integrated way to support Eastern European clients. The successful candidate will work with the rest of the team to embed learning across the team and develop our work to meet the needs of clients and key stakeholders.

HHPA Administrator (London)

Groundswell’s award-winning Homeless Health Peer Advocacy (HHPA) project is looking for an Administrator to help us smoothly run a service supporting people who are homeless in London to get to over 3000 health engagements a year. We are looking for someone very personable with an excellent phone manner, who can remain focused and friendly working in a busy and sometimes demanding environment. Working closely with the HHPA Systems Manager you will offer efficient, effective and proactive administrative support to the project, supporting our frontline staff and volunteers to do their vital work.

Getting the logistics behind HHPA right, is vital to operating a system where volunteers feel safe and supported, and partner homeless and health organisations trust us to get vulnerable people to important health appointments. The HHPA Administrator will often be the first point of contact for volunteers, and referrers, and we are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills who is used to dealing with queries from the public. You will possess a natural ability to think on your feet and find solutions to operational challenges. You will need a flexible, calm, proactive approach with a can-do attitude and be willing to develop within the role.
