A small change can lead to a big difference for someone’s life
Support someone’s next year with Groundswell
At Groundswell, our work isn’t about one moment—it’s about walking alongside people over time. From first contact, through multiple appointments, to progress in health, confidence, and opportunity. It takes many small steps—often unseen—to ensure support is meaningful, sustainable, and life-changing. We ensure that every part of the journey—from initial contact, through travel, wellbeing, coordination—is covered, so people aren’t left to struggle alone.
“Last year, Maria* was left homeless and with no other options available to her experienced a period of rough sleeping, while occasionally finding space in one of the winter night shelters dotted around the city. With no permanent address, no GP and her health quickly deteriorating, Maria ended up in hospital with pneumonia and was referred to Groundswell for support. With a peer advocate by her side, she was finally able to register temporarily with a specialist GP service close to one of the night shelters.
Here’s an idea of what your gift can do:
- £25 can help a person start their journey with our peer advocate or progression coach.
- With £50, we can offer someone peer advocacy support to access crucial healthcare.
- £100 can enable training for peer volunteers with lived experience, so they can go on to support others in similar journeys.
Join us this winter to ensure people aren’t just getting help, but real, sustained support. Meaningful change doesn’t come from moments—it comes from the journey.
Will you help someone’s next year begin today?
