Groundswell Timeline /2015

This report was produced at the end of a year-long evaluation of Homeless Health Peer Advocacy (HHPA) delivered by the Young Foundation. The evaluation was funded by OAK Foundation and was launched at a parliamentary event in February 2016.

The report captures the effectiveness of HHPA as a method for supporting people affected by homelessness to tackle their health needs. In 2015, HHPA was growing as a service and this item has been a springboard to success.

After 5 years the project had moved from a small pilot in Westminster with 170 appointments to 8 London Boroughs and over 2000 one-to-one appointments. This has solidified Groundswell’s move to being a service provider.

“The report is full of case studies from clients and volunteers of the service. The launch event was a really wonderful day that included an incredible story from Gerry Dickson about her work with a Groundswell client. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house!”
